Resources

Resources are objects in integrations that require access control. Resources have one or more roles, usually different sets of permissions that are specific to that application, that can be granted to a subject.

Resources are added to Oblique by importing them from an integration.

You can’t add resources manually. Resources are automatically imported when you connect an integration, and the corresponding roles on those resources automatically detected and imported.

You can use Oblique to manage access to a resource, by assigning a role on a resource to a subject.

All other changes to a resource must happen in the integration.

Editing a resource's owners requires a request.

From the resource’s detail page:

  1. In the Owners section, select Edit. This will open a request form.
  2. To add owners, select Add owners to search for and select the users, groups, or teams you wish to add as owners. To remove owners, find the line for the owner you wish to remove, and select Remove.
  3. In the Approvals section, review the checks needed to edit this resource’s owners. By default, approval is needed from either an Oblique admin or an existing owner. Click on the list of reviewers to assign different reviewers.
  4. Select Create request.

Once the request passes all checks and it is set to auto-apply, it is automatically applied and Oblique will edit the owners for you.

You can’t delete resources in Oblique directly. Instead, delete the resource from the integration, or remove the integration.
